IPTV on a Samsung TV, no extra box
Samsung TVs have their own app store. Kanal runs there as a Tizen app, directly on the TV, with the regular Samsung remote.
In short: Kanal for Samsung TV is the Tizen version of the player for 2022 models and newer (Tizen 6.5+). It was submitted to Samsung Apps TV in October 2026; availability outside the US depends on Samsung's partner program. Until then, Apple TV is the fastest route.
Where things stand
The Samsung version is finished and under review at Samsung. Samsung initially releases apps from new sellers in the US only; a partner request for Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden is pending. As soon as Kanal appears in your country's Samsung store, it will be listed here.
What the Samsung version does
- Sign in with your provider's Xtream Codes credentials (server, username, password) directly on the TV.
- Channel list by country and topic with logos; empty tabs are hidden, "All" always shows everything.
- Now/next on the tiles, info overlay in the player.
- Zap with up/down and channel +/–, switch tabs with CH+/CH–.
- Playback through Samsung's own player (AVPlay), HLS and MPEG-TS.
