IPTV on the iPad and iPhone
On the iPad, Kanal is the second TV in the kitchen or garden; on the iPhone it is the remote that sets up the Apple TV.
In short: Kanal for iOS (iPad/iPhone, iOS 17+) loads your IPTV provider's channels, plays them with Apple's player (AirPlay, picture-in-picture) and is set up via QR code or link. From the iPad you send the login to the Apple TV with a 6-digit code.
Features
- Channel list with logos, search and tabs (Austria, Germany, Tennis, Formula 1, All).
- Player with now/next, channel number entry, "last channel", sleep timer, swipe up/down to zap.
- AirPlay to any TV and picture-in-picture so the news keeps running while you cook.
- With Kanal Plus: program table and your provider's movies & series.
- Favorites and login sync with the Apple TV via iCloud.
Setup
Three ways: scan the QR code from the setup page, open a kanal:// link, or paste the provider's email directly in the app. Full walkthrough: Setup guide.
Privacy
Credentials live in the iOS Keychain and optionally in your iCloud. Kanal has no user accounts and collects no data; the App Store listing says "Data Not Collected".
