Setup
On first launch Kanal shows a 6-digit code. Type it in the iPad app (Menu → "Send to Apple TV") or on the setup page. The login is transferred encrypted; nothing has to be typed on the TV. Does Kanal run on the older Apple TV HD?
Yes, as long as it runs tvOS 17 (Apple TV HD from 2015 and every Apple TV 4K).
Do I have to type the login on the TV?
No. The 6-digit code or iCloud take care of it. Typing on the TV works too.
Does Kanal support catch-up / time-shift?
Only if your provider offers it through the Xtream API. Pause and ±10 seconds always work within the live buffer.
